Accountability and learning

How we document and learn from our work

We want our public claims to be supported by records that can be checked. That means dating activities, separating proposed targets from completed work, listening to community feedback and reporting what was actually delivered.

Reporting over time

Our dated songs and public-interest campaigns form the starting record. As programmes are implemented, we will add periodic reports covering activities, reach, use of resources, outcomes, challenges and lessons learned.

Monitoring

What we will measure

Every funded initiative should begin with a monitoring plan that suits its size, purpose and level of risk.

01

Participation

Who took part, who was reached and whether intended groups were meaningfully included.

02

Delivery

What was provided, completed or referred, checked against the agreed plan and budget.

03

Change

What participants know, feel or can do differently after the intervention.

04

Dignity and safety

Whether people felt respected, informed, safe and able to give feedback or raise concerns.

05

Resources

How funds and in-kind support were used, supported by proportionate records and controls.

06

Learning

What worked, what did not, what communities told us and what should change next time.

Governance and internal controls

Policies that shape everyday decisions

Our Institutional Governance and Operational Policy Manual, Version 1.0, together with our Safeguarding Policy, sets out the responsibilities, approvals, records and reporting standards that guide our governance, programmes and operations.

01

Safeguarding and protection

Our safeguarding arrangements cover children and adults at risk, expected conduct, safe participation and clear routes for reporting a concern.

02

Data protection, consent and records

Personal information, photographs and stories are collected for a clear purpose. Consent and confidentiality apply, and records are retained only for as long as they are required.

03

Finance, administration and internal controls

Budgets, delegated approvals, segregation of duties, payment evidence, reconciliations and management review provide a traceable financial record.

04

Procurement, logistics and assets

Competition where practical, documented selection, conflict declarations, value for money and asset records help protect every resource entrusted to us.

05

Human resources and ethical conduct

Recruitment, responsibilities, performance, confidentiality and conduct requirements apply to staff, volunteers and community workers.

06

Integrity, complaints and assurance

Anti-fraud and conflict-of-interest controls sit alongside complaints, feedback and whistleblowing channels, monitoring, reporting and audit readiness.

Donor due diligence

Relevant policies and supporting records can be reviewed.

We do not publish full internal manuals or working forms on the public website. Relevant documents and supporting records can be shared with prospective funders and partners during due diligence, subject to confidentiality and data-protection requirements.
